Scholarship, Fellowship and Grant Information Session for Students Already in College, Returning to College, and Pursuing Graduate School
During the Scholarship, Fellowship and Grant Online Information Session, Marianne Ragins, $400,000 scholarship winner, will discuss:
- Strategies for those who are already in college and have a desire to finish but may be struggling financially due to rising tuition costs throughout the U.S.
- Financing techniques for those who have been out of school for a while and want to return to college to complete their education (nontraditional students)
- Methods for individuals to find funding for a graduate or professional degree
Web-Based Class (Virtual) – Scholarship, Fellowship & Grant Information Session for Students Already in College, Returning to College, and Pursuing Graduate School The web-based class adds the extra element of being able to follow along in this class by viewing actual examples such as web sites, scholarship search engines, essay writing samples, winning application packages, local scholarship research techniques, and much more. The web-based class uses the telephone and provided course materials. You must also have a computer and Internet access to join. It is a 90-minute class that allows you to see and interactively participate in the class.
Class Requirements – For the web-based class you must have a computer with an Internet connection (at least a 56K modem, cable modem, DSL, or High Speed Internet Broadband Access), Internet Explorer or another compatible browser, and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Special Note for WEB-BASED CLASS – If you have a 56K modem only and DO NOT have a cable modem, DSL, or Broadband access to the Internet, you MUST have two phone lines (one for accessing the Internet and viewing the presentation using your 56K modem, and one for calling in to listen to the instructor, Marianne Ragins). We recommend high speed Internet access.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR, MARIANNE RAGINS
In her senior year of high school, Marianne won over $400,000 in scholarships for college. As perhaps the first student ever to amass nearly half a million dollars in scholarship money, she has been featured in many publications including USA Today, People, Newsweek, Money, Essence and on the cover of Parade. She has also made hundreds of radio and television appearances on shows such as “Good Morning America,” “The Home Show,” and the “Mike & Maty Show.”
Ragins is the author of the highly successful Winning Scholarships for College: An Insider’s Guide, College Survival & Success Skills 101, and other publications. She is the president of The Scholarship Workshop and sponsor of the Leading the Future II and Ragins Braswell National Scholarships. Ragins is an experienced motivational speaker and lecturer who has traveled nationally and internationally conducting The Scholarship Workshop presentation and giving other motivational seminars and speeches.
Marianne graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from Florida A&M University and received an MBA from George Washington University. Both her degrees were entirely funded by scholarships and other free aid. Marianne is originally from Macon, Georgia and currently resides in northern Virginia.
