Remember the largest scholarships have the earliest deadlines. If you haven’t seriously started your scholarship search yet or you work with students who need a little push, the time is NOW. Get moving and don’t wait. 

Here are a few activities for you to consider:

• Discover the Secrets to Financial and Scholarship Success: Money Matters for Students on February 6. This is a free virtual session that students and parents from anywhere in the US can attend. See this page to learn more and register.
•  Consider registering for the online Scholarship Boot Camp on February 9; or the Scholarship Class for High School Students & Their Parents (web-based) on January 28. You can also check out the Scholarship Success Toolkit.
• Or review one of our publications to get you started. See scholarshipworkshop.com/bookstore or you can get one of our resources on Amazon.* Here are our most popular: Winning Scholarships for College, The Scholarship Monthly Planner, The Scholarship and College Essay Planning Kit, Scholarships for Middle Class Students and Senior Year Head Start. • If possible, apply for these scholarships with early deadlines in 2025 – GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship (January 3, 2025), Profiles in Courage Essay Contest (January 17, 2025), Live Mas Scholarship on (January 8, 2025), and Jackie Robinson Scholarship on January 9, 2025. • Check out scholarships and college essay writing contests in your area for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and celebration. For an example of this type of scholarship/contest, see this page: The City of San Antonio Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission MLK Scholarship. Many areas throughout the country have similar scholarship contests. Conduct an advanced Internet search as explained in Winning Scholarships for College to find them.
