- If possible, apply for these scholarships with early 2021 deadlines – GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship (January 5, 2021), Ron Brown Scholarship (January 9, 2021), Profiles in Courage Essay Contest (January 15, 2021), Live Mas Scholarshipon January 20, 2021. - Check out scholarships and college essay writing contests in your area for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and celebration. For examples of these types of scholarships and contests see these pages: The City of San Antonio Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission MLK Scholarship or the Dallas MLK Center Scholarship Essay Contest. Many areas throughout the country have similar scholarship contests. Conduct an advanced Internet search as explained in Winning Scholarships for College to find them.
